Liverpool have announced the signing of midfielder Takumi Minamino from RB Salzburg in a £7.25m deal, MySportDab reports.
The Japan international will officially become a Liverpool player on January 1st and could make his debut four days later in the FA Cup.
A statement from the Reds official website said: “Liverpool FC have an official agreement with RB Salzburg for the transfer of midfielder Takumi Minamino.”
Speaking after his transfer, Minamino said: “It has always been my dream to become a Liverpool player. I’m happy it has come to past.
“My dream has always been to play in the Premier League. I think this is the best football league in the world; I already thought of the idea that if my career progressed well, I would one day play in the Premier League.

“From the match against Liverpool I learned alot about the team’s intensity, technique,” he added.
“The style of football at liverpool is one of the best and I feel that they are the winners of the Champions League. Knowing that, it makes me even more delighted to play in this team.
“My main target now is to win the Premier League and possibly the Champions League, and help out in every area across the team.”
Minamino did face Liverpool twice this season while playing for Salzburg in the Champions League group-stage matches.
