Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is set to discover the extent of midfielder Scott McTominay’s injury over the next few days, MySportDab reports.
Scott McTominay left Old Trafford yesterday on crutches after being taken off at half-time in a fantastic 4-1 victory over Newcastle.
And Coach Solksjaer doubts Scott can make the squad for the next game against Burnley on Saturday.
Solskjaer said: “He’s torn his ligament in the knee I think, I don’t know the extent of this, let’s wait and see but the boy can hopefully recover fast.
“I doubt he will be ready for Saturday’s match but we have seen him heal fast before.”
If McTominay, would be injured for sometime, the return of Pogba from his injury makes everything right place for United.
“It is still too early for Paul as he’s not play for a long time but he has to get used to it fast enough,” said Solskjaer.
On the overall performance from the teal, Ole added: “Despite being 1-0 down we forced them into mistakes and we capitalised perfectly.
“We created many chances against Watford too but we were deadly enough. Mason is a great striker and would prove a great weapon in attack always.
“We all know he is going to hit the target more times than not. The way he plays upfront is great to see and he is never disturbed by whatever happens.
“Martial, Rashford, Mason are a handful when we provide them space as we did today. These boys never give up.”
Manchester United play next on Saturday against Burnley in the Premier League.
