Cristiano Ronaldo scored a stunning header as Juventus secured all three points with a 2-1 victory against Sampdoria on Wednesday, MySportDab reports.
The Portugal star showed his athleticism, jumping 2.56 metres high and remaining in the air for 1.5 seconds, before heading home Alex Sandro’s cross just before half-time.
Ronaldo remained in the air for 1.5 seconds which is shocking before heading home past Goalkeeper Emil Audero.
Speaking after the stunning goal at full-time, Ronaldo said: ‘I am delighted for the victory. It was a tough match, Sampdoria did play very well. The team showed their strength.
‘The goal was pretty nice, I’m very happy to help the team get all three poins. I want to help Juventus win more trophies.’
However, Ronaldo was denied a second goal for being offside just before Sampdoria goalscorer Caprari was shown a Red card time after receiving two yellow cards in stoppage time.
It marked a very special night for Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon as he equalled Paolo Maldini’s record of 647 Serie A appearances.
The Legendary Goalkeeper also set a new record for the most Juventus appearances of 479 matches one great than Alessandro Del Piero.
Juventus are back top the Serie A table with 42 points, ahead of Inter (39) in 2nd place who still have a game in hand.
