Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has hinted that the Red Devils can make top four this season after the Derby win against Manchester City, MySportDab reports.
After the draw at home against Aston Villa, fans were calling for Coach Ole Gunnar Solksjaer to be sacked but things have now changed in a matter of days.
United defeated Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham 2-1 at Old Trafford on Wednesday before securing a surprise 2-1 against rivals Manchester City in the Derby on Saturday.
The win over City in the 179th Manchester Derby moved United up to fifth and five points within Champions League spots after Chelsea’s loss to Everton over the weekend.
Speaking about the memorable win, United performances, Harry Maguire said:
“I think you have to care for your very own outcomes, don’t look somewhere else, continue winning games.
“We have another major event one week from now.
“The top four spot is not far off yet we simply continue taking care of our own outcomes, continue attempting to get the wins and continue improving.”
“I have taken a good look at our forwarss and believe they’re going to score many many goals,’ Maguire included.
“They’re a major risk, they’re top players, incredible ability and I believe it’s everything meeting up now.
“In any case, no, we’re not losing control.
‘It’s a major three points, it’s an exceptional success, one for the fans, I’m extremely glad for them.
“We simply keep climbing that table and fend chipping off.”
Manchester United are now unbeaten in Premier League five games and secured their first back-to-back win this campaign against Tottenham and Manchester City.
