Inter Milan have officially announced the signing of Christian Eriksen from Tottenham in a £18million deal, MySportDab reports.
The Denmark international had since agreed personal terms with the Serie A club and now has completed his transfer ahead of the Friday deadline.
Eriksen arrived in Milan from London on Monday morning to complete his medical and sign his new contract through until June 2024, worth around £6.5m per season including bonuses.
MySportDab understands Inter had hoped to pay less than Tottenham’s original asking price of £17.5m but their willingness to seal the deal before Friday’s deadline means they agreed to pay the full fee.
Eriksen missed Tottenham FA Cup 1-1 draw against Southampton on Saturday suggesting he was close to joining Inter Milan.
The 28-year-old is Inter’s third signing this January from a Premier League side, as Antonio Conte continues to strengthen his squad.
Ashley Young sealed his transfer from Manchester United, and managed to provide an assist on his debut om Sunday.
Victor Moses has also signed this January, joining on loan from Premier League side Chelsea.
Inter are losing ground in the Serie A title race after Sunday’s 1-1 draw at home against Cagliari.
