Liverpool Coach Jurgen Klopp has no problem with the fans celebrating a premature title but warns his players not to join the party yet, MySportDab reports.
MySportDab understands Liverpool fans sang ‘we’re going to win the league’ at Anfield during the win over Manchester United and it was perfect timing with the Reds now 16points clear at the top of the Premier League.
‘They can sing it, l have no problem with that,’ said Klopp.
‘I don’t dictate what they have to sing. If our fans weren’t happy right now, it would be very strange.
‘Of course they can dream, to sing anything they want as long as they can do their job as well at the moment when we play. All fine.
‘Everyone can celebrate the situation, but not us. Nothing has changed. We still in the same situation with three points. I will tell you once it feels different but now it doesn’t.
‘We will not join the party yet but it’s not a problem. We know our job.
‘I have know if we will be caught or not, I don’t care. Most importantly, this is the Premier League. We play Wolves next on Thursday, it’s our next serious challenge. I don’t have the time to contemplate anything else.
‘I have to be very concentrated , even in the interviews, because we have to play on Thursday. That’s the fact. I’m only focused in that game and nothing else.’
Liverpool’s 2-0 win took them far clear of Manchester City and have now opened up a shocking 30-point gap over their forgotten rivals United.
Jurgen Klopp’s team have now lost just one of their last 61 Premier league match.
They could have won with more goals but Roberto Firmino and Georginio Wijnaldum goals were disallowed and David De Gea made some good saves just before Mo Salah completed a 2-0 victory in injury-time.
