Arsenal are hoping to retun to winning ways today when they host Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium, MySportDab reports.
Mikel Arteta’s team have only played one match in February which ended as a 0-0 draw against Burnley but now look refreshed after the Premier League winter break.
Arsenal Team News:
Arsenal make some good signings in the January transfer window to strengthen their squad for the second half of the season, bringing in defenders Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares on loan until the end of the season.
However, both players were unavailable to make their debit against Burnley and won’t be available again today for the Gunners.
Mari is still improving his match fitness and the Gunners are hopeful he will be fit to play against Olympiakos next week.
Meanwhile, Cedric is not yet back in training but should join his new team-mate at London Colney by the end of February.
Kieran Tierney is still injured after a dislocated shoulder but is also expected to be back in full training by the end of February March while Calum Chambers remains out for a long time due to knee injury.
Newcastle Team News:
However, Newcastle are currently unbeaten in four league matches but have serious issues with up to nine players injured.
Javier Manquillo, Paul Dummett, Jetro Willems and Emil Krafth are all still undergoing treatment while Jonjo Shelvey and Jack Colback are also unavailable.
The Magpies also have little attacking options up front with Dwight Gayle, Andy Carroll and Yoshinori Muto out.
