Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes that Bruno Fernandes is a ‘top addition’ to his squad after his debut in the 0-0 draw against on Saturday, MySportDab reports.
The Portuguese midfielder was unable to make the difference for United but he did have three shots on target.
MySportDab understands United were stopped from taking all three points by a strong Wolves team who looked very dangerous on the counter attack.
However, Solskjaer believes his team did do enough to win and was happy with what he saw from Fernandes on his debut for Manchester United.
He said: “It was a match as you expected really. We controlled the game, had much possession, they gave us serious problems on counter attacks and set plays.
“We have already played so many matches in the past few months and the players are tired, energy levels are down and everyone needs a break.
“Bruno got on the ball well for us. I think we controlled the first half as well.
“In the 2nd half we attacked a little bit more. I felt the ground staff might have moved the goal post slightly to the right!
“Fernandes is a top player. It’s the first match. First half everyone was getting the ball and Bruno is one of those who, when he gets the ball, he wants players moving attacking wise and we didn’t.
“He is a top addition.”
Manchester United now have a long winter break and are play next in the Premier League against rivals Chelsea on Monday February 17.
