Former Tottenham Coach Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that he would love a return to the Premier League, MySportDab reports.
Manchester United have been linked with Pochettino for months now and the Red Devils might finally get their man at the end of the season.
However, Pochettino has admitted that he would love a return to the Premier League, and is now ready for a new challenge.
Pochettino was sacked in November 2019 by Spurs, after five years in charge at the Premier League club.
This was after Tottenham’s disappointing start to the season, and were 14th on the league table when Pochettino was sacked.
He was then linked with the United job, because current coach Solskjaer has failed failing to impress at Old Trafford.
Now, the Argentine has revealed that he’s ready to get back into football management, after a three-month out on the sidelines.
“To be sincere, I would love to work in the Premier League again,” Pochettino told Sky Sports’ Natalie Pinkham.
“It will be difficult, I know, and for now all I can do is wait and we’ll see what happens.
“It’s a time of recovery, to think about yourself a bit, and to be fully ready because in football anything can happen and you need to be ready.
“I’m ready now and waiting for a new challenge. I have the full confidence that my next challenge will be fantastic.”
Rumours surrounding Pochettino’s future intensified on Tuesday night after a fresh development.
Pochettino was spotted watching Brentford vs Leeds United match at Griffin Park, alongside United’s PR man Neil Ashton.
MySportDab understands Pochettino could still replace Solskjaer, with the Norwegian struggling to impress with his Old Trafford revolution.
Manchester United are currently eighth on the Premier League table, and have lost some many matches this season so far.
