Liverpool Star Alisson looks to be moving from goalkeeper to a priest after he baptised the wife of Manchester United midfielder Fred in a ceremony in a swimming pool, MySportDab reports.
He performed the baptism on Monqiue Salum, the wife of the Brazil midfielder, in a touching event as he took some time to help out a national teammate during his winter break.
Now, did you know that Alisson has now shockingly performed more baptisms this year than conceded goals for Liverpool.
MySportDab understands The Brazilian has conceded just one goal in 2020 which was in the 2-1 win against Wolves.
A clip shared on Salum’s Instagram which involved an emotional song by a gospel singer, who is also present, as a group in the pool.
Alisson is assisted by the singer as they placed her head below the water.
The four then embraced each other in touching scenes after she was baptised, with Alisson looking very pleased to have played a part.
Salum was very grateful for the help of Alisson and his wife as she wrote on Instagram: ‘On This day! The day that will always be in my heart and soul. The day of my meeting with Jesus Christ, when I truly felt his presence and felt that it was the most crucial and important choice of my life.
‘I must thank my dear friends @natalialbecker and @alissonbecker who introduced me to Christ Jesus and with their testimonies has been transforming the lives of so many people around them, including mine!
‘Thank you for making me feel true love. You are a blessing in our lives! Thank you God, for your works in my life. I will always serve you!’
Alisson also performed a ceremony with teammate Roberto Firmino this year and they were both in tears after the baptism.
Alisson has conceded just six Premier League goals so far this season and could set a new record come the end of this 2019-20 campaign.
