Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has revealed that he will make a decision on his future this summer with major changes expected, MySportDab reports.
Ozil is currently the highest-paid player at the Emirates on £350,000-a-week but since he signed the contract in 2018, his form has declined.
The German has provided only four assists in the league since signing the new deal and scored five goals since that time.
Ozil struggled for consistency under former Coach Unai Emery with questions raised about his work ethic constantly raised.
While he has been more involved under Arteta, it hasn’t reflected in Ozil’s performances to help the team.
In October 2018, Arsenal head of football Raul Sanllehi, made clear that they would not allow players to enter the final year of the contracts.
MySportDab understands that finding a club to sign Ozil is very difficult due to his wage demands which is now a big problem for Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, Ozil insists he is fully concentrated on his game and helping Arsenal into the top four in the league.
“I have one more year after this season, so after this I will know because right now I can’t see the future,” he said to reporters in Dubai.
“What I can do is give everything for the team, for myself, to be very successful and let’s see how it goes.
“I will always give everything for this club, for my teammates. We’ve had a tough season, but we want to win every game, take points, and to be in the top four at the end of the season.
“Our goal is to play in Champions League. This year we had various difficulties, but I think we’re in a good way.”
