Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother has been rushed to an hospital after suffering a stroke, according to reports in her home town Madeira.
Mother-of-four Dolores Aveiro was admitted to Dr Nelio Mendonca Hospital in her native lan of Madeira just around 5am this morning.
MySportDab understands that she is ‘conscious and stable.’
She is due to undergo fresh tests in the next few hours to determine the state of her condition.
According to Local Media, She suffered an ischemic stroke, which was due to a blood clot that blocks or plugs a blood vessel in the brain.
Today, This is a very common type of stroke.
At the start of 2019, Dolores revealed that she was ‘fighting for her life’ after a new cancer drama.
She only recently recovered from breast cancer after being diagnosed in 2007 with the disease.
In 2009, Cristiano Ronaldo donated £100,000 to build a new cancer centre at the hospital where his mother was being treated.
But in February 2019 ahead of her visit to Italy to celebrate her son’s 35th birthday she admitted to new health issues.
She told a Portuguese TV station in a interview: ‘I was operated on again in Madrid, I’ve had radiotherapy and now I’m fighting for my life.’
MySportDab can confirm that there’s been no official comment from the hospital today.
Dolores has been a devoted fan of her son’s career, frequently celebrating with him on the pitch after his triumphs.
‘Ronaldo would be nowhere without his mother,’ said Francisco Afonso, Ronaldo’s first coach in 2015.
In 2019, Dolores stood firm by her son’s side after he was accused of rape in a criminal investigation.
She said last February that she was confident in my son when it comes to what happened’ during his stay in Las Vegas.

Ronaldo was due to face AC Milan in Italian cup semi-final on Wednesday evening.
35-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo was born in Madeira and began his youth career there before his move to Sporting Lisbon.
