Liverpool Coach Jurgen Klopp has launched an angry coronavirus rant at a reporter who asked him about the deadly CoronaVirus, MySportDab reports.
Klopp was angered by a journalist who asked of his opinion about the coronavirus after the Reds’ 2-0 loss to Chelsea in the FA Cup on Tuesday night.
The coronavirus could become a serious problem and could likely affect the remainder of the Premier League season in which Liverpool are set to win their maiden title.
MySportDab understands English Premier League officials have developed contingency plans to play the remaining games behind closed doors should the government implement a blanket ban on mass events.
That means the Reds could lift the Premier League trophy in front of an empty Anfield stadium.
But Klopp got angry when asked his opinion on the deadly virus which is spreading across the world.
“What I don’t like is that you ask a serious thing and expect a football manager’s opinion to be important,” said Klopp.
“I don’t understand. I truly don’t understand, if I asked you, you are in exactly the same role as I am.
“So it’s not important what famous people think. We have to speak about things in the right way, not people with no proper knowledge, like me, talking about something this important.
“People with knowledge know more about it and tell people to do this, or that, and everything will be okay, or not.
“Not football managers, I don’t understand your idea. Politics, coronavirus, why ask me? I had a bad shave and wear a baseball cap.
“I’m concerned like everybody else. I live on this planet and I want to be safe and healthy, I wish everybody to be okay, absolutely. But my idea on coronavirus is not important.”
