Cristiano Ronaldo Donates Ventilators And Agrees £3.4m Wage Cut Amid CoronaVirus Crisis

Juventus Star Cristiano Ronaldo has donated five ventilators and has also agreed a £3.5m pay cut amid the coronavirus outbreak, MySportDab reports.

Ronaldo is currently in Portugal to self-isolate as COVID-19 has seriously affected everyone in Italy with over 86,000 cases and 9,134 deaths confirmed.

However, MySportDab understands Ronaldo has decided to provide some support in the battle against the deadly virus, which has caused 28,376 deaths around the world.

The Portuguese international has donated some key medical equipment to hospitals in Madeira his hometown.

The 35-year-old also teamed up with his agent Jorge Mendes and financed extra care facilities at hospitals fighting the virus both in Porto and Lisbon.

According to Italian Newspaper Tuttosport, Ronaldo is among the Juventus players that have agreed to receive a wage cut amid the Serie A being suspended.

Juventus captain Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci Gianluigi Buffon and Ronaldo were among the first players to agree with the wage cut and the entire squad followed.

According to MySportDab sources, there are currently 35 clubs with payrolls at €100m or more and Juventus currently rank tenth om the list of the top paying clubs across the world.

Juventus players have also been affected by the coronavirus outbreak as Paulo Dybala, Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi have all tested positive.

However, Juventus president set Andrea Agnelli has warned that the current pandemic has claimed it as “the biggest challenge ever for football”.

Many Sports stars across the world have joined in the struggle against coronavirus as Barcelona Starman Lionel Messi and Manchester City Coach Pep Guardiola have donated €1million (£914,000) each.
