Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is likely to make changes for today’s FA Cup fifth-round match against Derby County, MySportDab reports.
Striker Odion Ighalo is likely to make his second start for Manchester United tonight in FA Cup game against Derby County.
The Red Devils will face club legend Wayne Rooney, who joined Derby from DC United in January.
Team News
Ighalo who scored in last week’s last week Europa League win is very likely to lead the attack amid Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s lack of attacking options.
Daniel James remains out after picking up a knock in the 5-0 win against Club Brugge while Marcus Rashford is still unavailable
Paul Pogba is also another absentee while Aaron Wan-Bissaka picked up a back issue in Sunday’s draw at Everton.
Speaking at his recent press conference, Solskjaer said: “Yeah [James will] probably miss this one as well and Marcus and Paul are still injury and I think Aaron might be struggling,” Ole told reporters.
“Aaron has a test today, but he struggled in our last match against Everton with a back issue, so he might be out.
“Paul’s still working with the physios and he won’t return to training until next week. So then let’s see how long it will take.”
Defence
Diogo Dalot will surely to replace Wan-Bissaka at right-back, Brandon Williams should start in place of Luke Shaw on the opposite wing while Eric Bailly could to return at centre-back alongside Harry Maguire.
Midfield
The FA Cup represents a good possibility at a trophy for the Red Devils so Scott McTominay and Fred should start in midfield.
Attack
Bruno Fernandes is expected to start alonside Juan Mata and Andreas Pereira in attacking midfield behind Odion Ighalo.
Solskjaer still has a tough decision on who to pick in Sergio Romero or David De Gea in goal.
De Gea caused Everton’s goal in their last match while Romero has started all three FA Cup matches so far this season.
As a result, De Gea is likely to drop to the bench with the No 2 being pick to start.
Solskjaer said: “Well it’s not sure that he’ll start, of course, but Sergio has done well in recent matches he has played, definitely.
“But I have no problem about playing David in every game, because what he’s done and his performances have been great.”
Manchester United Predicted Line-up: Romero, Maguire, Dalot, Williams, Bailly, Williams, Fred, McTominay, Mata, Fernandes, Pereira; Ighalo.
