Manchester United have decided to cancel training on Tuesday following the latest update by the government on CoronaVirus, MySportDab reports.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team were expected to return to training today at Carrington, despite the Premier League season being suspended.
However, due to new update given by the government on Monday, it urged everyone to work from home if they can, United will now stop training.
A club statement read: ‘In response to governmental advice and the situation at hand, the team will not return to training.’
Players, staffs of the first-team squad and all academy groups will now be given training programmes to follow at home.
Manchester United had first planned for players to report for training as usual, with days off now spread out across the upcoming weeks.
Pogba was set to return back to training today but will now continue his recovery at home.
The Red Devils were meant to play Tottenham next on Sunday before the season was suspended.
MySportDab understands that the English football League has been suspended until at least April 3.
Nemanja Matic New Contract!
Manchester United have extended midfielder Nemanja Matic’s contract by a year.
The midfielder had less than three months left on his contract but United have decied to extend his stay until at least 2021.
MySportDab can confirm that Matic had looked set to leave United this summer with a host of clubs around Europe, including AC Milan and Inter Milan planning to sign him on a free.
However, the Serbian has decided to stay at United and convinced Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer of his importace to the squad after he rediscovered his best form since the start of 2020.
