Arsenal Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has dropped a hint he might sign a new contract at the Premier League club, MySportDab reports.

Aubameyang has been linked with a summer transfer to Manchester United or Barcelona.

MySportDab understands the Gabon international has just one year left on his current contract at Arsenal and is yet to sign a new deal.

If Aubameyang doesn’t sign a new contract at the Emirates he could leave for free in 2021.

However, In a conversation on Instagram with Kevin-Prince Boateng, the 30-year-old was asked about his future.

In the Instagram live video, Boateng said: “They’re fans all saying you should sign a new contract with Arsenal.”

Aubameyang replied: “Yeah. I know,” to which Boateng asks: “How long do you have?”

The Arsenal captain then said: “One year,” before a casual answer: “Sure, yeah sure…” with a laugh when asked again if he will remain at Arsenal.

Former Arsenal player Alan Smith believes the Gunners would need to sign a quality goalscorer to replace Aubameyang if he leave the club.

“It’s asking too much of Nketiah or Martinelli, despite how talented they both are, to replace a tried-and-tested goalscorer like Aubameyang, who has played at the top level for so many years years,” he told Sky Sports.

“If Aubameyang does leave I’m sure they would try to bring in some experience but they are restricted by finances. They’ve still got Alexandre Lacazette but his goals tally has been poor this season compared to his previous seasons at the club, so that is a big concern.”

Arsenal signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January 2018 from Borussia Dortmund and has been linked with a transfer to Barcelona in recent months.
