Chelsea have now approached Barcelona about a deal to sign midfielder Philippe Coutinho, MySportDab reports.
Philippe Coutinho is currently on-loan at Bayern Munich but Chelsea are interested in bringing the former Liverpool player back to the Premier League.
MySportDab understands Chelsea are ahead in the race to sign Coutinho who has struggled to make an impact since leaving Liverpool in January 2018.
The Brazilian has spent this season on loan at Bayern Munich but According to Spanish Newspaper Sport, a return to England could be possible.
Spanish Newspaper Sport claims that Chelsea have already approached Barcelona over a potential transfer, while they have also asked about Coutinho’s plans.
The 27-year-old is unlikely to be a first-team player at Barcelona under new Coach Quique Setien next season, meaning another loan move from Spain could be best for both clubs.
Chelsea have also asked about the conditions of a loan deal with an option to buy and the Blues are also willing to pay £28million to cover the midfielder’s wages and loan fee.

Barcelona are willing to sell Coutinho in the summer, but so far no buyer has agreed to their £83m valuation.
Bayern are happy Countinho on loan and he has scored their nine goals and provided eight assists in 32 matches across all competitions this season.
However, the Bundesliga club are unwilling to pay the £102m option-to-buy that was included in the loan deal that brought him to Germany.
MySportDab understands Bayern could ask for an extension on their current loan deal for Coutinho.
Coutinho did quit Liverpool in 2018 for £142m, having scored 41 goals in 152 Premier League matches during his six years period at Liverpool.
Chelsea are not the only club interested in Coutinho as Inter Milan have also made contact but the Serie A club could only afford a loan deal.
