Real Madrid have informed Sadio Mane and his representatives they are interested in signing the Senegalese star this summer, MySportDab reports.

Real Madrid have identified the next transfer window as an opportunity to strengthen the squad with Coach Zinedine Zidane unhappy with the little options at his disposal at the Bernebeu.

PSG forward Kylian Mbappe has been a long term target for Los Blancos and Erling Haaland’s rise to stardom has attracted the Spanish giants, but the Real Madrid are more focused on a bid to sign Liverpool Star Sadio Mane.

According to The Mirror, Madrid have made contact with Mane’s representatives over a potential transfer this summer.

MySportDab understands Zidane had been interested in signing Mane a couple of seasons ago, but his exit from Real Madrid stopped talks of any deal between the two clubs from happening.

Sadio Mane currently has three years remaining on his Liverpool contract, but Madrid are confident they can steal the star from Jurgen Klopp’s team for a cool bid of £140million.

That would shatter the club’s current transfer record of £88million, which Real paid Chelsea last summer to sign midfielder Eden Hazard.

The Belgium star has endured a tough season at the Bernebeu, with injuries and inconsistency throughout the season.

Mane has enjoyed another impressive season so far in professional football with Liverpool this season.

The 27-year-old has scored a total of 18 goals and provided 12 assists in 38 gams for Klopp’s men.
