Chelsea Striker Tammy Abraham has been crowned the Premier League Player of Year and Young Player of Year at the London football awards, MySportDab reports.
A host of football Legends attended the event including Ashley Cole, David Seaman and and Carlton Cole as players and organisations across the region were recognised for their achievements.
While Tammy Abraham, 22 bagged two awards, Watford’s Ben Foster was named Goalkeeper of the Year and Arsenal forward Vivianne Miedema won the Women’s Player of the Year prize for the second year in a row.
MySportDab can confirm that Abraham in his first season with the Chelsea’s first team, has scored 15 goals in 34 appearances across all competitions.
The goal poacher also scored his first goal for England in a 7-0 thrashing of Montenegro in Euro 2020 qualifying in November 2019.
The 22-year-old won the Player Of The Year award ahead of team-mate Jorginho and last year’s winner Son Heung-min.
Abraham has been a quality performer for Chelsea this season with a large number of young players integrated into the Chelsea squad such as Fikayo Tomori, Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Among other awards, Brentford forward Ollie Watkins won the EFL Player of the Year Award and his Coach Thomas Frank won the Manager of the Year award having guided The Bees up to fifth in the table.
Crystal Palace’s official charity The Palace For Life Foundation, earned the Project of the Year award.
