Barcelona Coach Quique Setien has spoken about Star man Lionel Messi’s future at the club, MySportDab reports.
Lionel Messi has been linked with leaving the Camp Nou club after a fallout with the club high ranking officials.
A reunion at Manchester City with former Coach Pep Guardiola is one of the transfer links in recent weeks.
According to reports in Italy, Inter Milan are also interested in a summer move for the Argentine.
Messi’s Barcelona contract expires next summer but there’s already an agreement should he decide to leave for free at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old signed for Barcelona from Newell’s Old Boys back in 2004 and graduated through the academy in Catalonia.
However, Coach Setien believes Messi will stay at the Spanish club without demanding to quit.
“These are very normal at big clubs,” he told TV3.
“Perhaps the hard part is that these crisis are shown by the media.
“It would be better to work in a simple and quiet environment but things are like that.
“I don’t think what happened to make Messi rethink whether to stay or leave the club. I am sure he will retire at the Camp Nou.”
Spanish La Liga is currently suspended because of the coronavirus crisis across the world.
Barcelona remain top of the La Liga table but rivals Real Madrid are just two points behind.
