Barcelona are prepared to offer Chelsea Philippe Coutinho in a swap deal for star man N’Golo Kante this summer, MySportDab reports.

The La Liga Giants want to a new midfielder who is powerful and they believe Kante is the right player.

But due to the coronavirus pandemic across the world, a swap deal would be more likely to sign the 29-year-old.

According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Arturo Vidal and Ivan Rakitic will leave Barcelona this summer, which means Barca need reinforcements.

MySportDab understands that many clubs would have to accept that the transfer market may be just mostly swap deals and few cash deals for any player due to financial difficulties.

And Barca have the right player to offer Chelsea in Phillipe Coutinho and Premier League clubs are known to want him.

The Brazilian played most of the great parts of his football career at Liverpool before joining to Barcelona.

Coutinho is right now on loan at Bayern Munich but the Bundesliga club are not ready to sign him on a permanent deal.

Leicester City, Arsenal and Tottenham are all known to be interested in Coutinho.

But Chelsea are still ahead in the race to sign him with Frank Lampard desperate to sign the 27-year-old to his young squad.

Coutinho has scored nine goals and provided eight assists across all competitions for Bayern Munich this season.

Kante has played 22 games for Chelsea this season with injuries disturbing his playing time.

Coach Frank Lampard is very keen to strengthen his squad this summer with no activity in the last transfer window due to a ban.

Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho and Ben Chilwell are among the other players that have been linked with Chelsea.
