Borussia Dortmund have now told winger Jadon Sancho he can leave the club if a good offer is accepted, MySportDab reports.
Manchester United hope to sign the England international but will have to spend £100million or more.
Borussia Dortmund never refuse to let their players’ leave once they show signs of wanting a new challenge.
According to Sport Bild, The Bundesliga club will also not force Sancho to stay and have told him he can go this summer.
However, a big problem for negotiations is their valuation for the player and Dortmund might not find any club ready to pay £100m after the coronavirus crisis ends.
MySportDab there is no contract agreement between Sancho and Dortmund which would let him leave at the end of the season.
But they have formally told the winger a move to Manchester United or any other club is possible once a good offer is accepted.
Manchester United’s record transfer is £89m which they paid Juventus back in 2017 for Paul Pogba.
The Red Devils will now have to break that transfer record again if they want to Sancho back in the Premier League, three years after leaving Manchester City.
However, Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may find it difficult to sign his man because the club’s finances have been impacted by the pandemic.
Manchester United have still continued to pay all staffs, players in full and not used on the UK government’s furlough scheme.
