Midfielder Bruno Fernandes has said that any new players joining Manchester United must be ready and hungry to win titles, MySportDab reports.
The Portuguese star has also admitted that he is desperate to win ‘everything’ at Manchester United.
Fernandes has impressed for the Old Trafford club since signing in January and won the February Premier League’s Player of the Month award.
The CoronaVirus Lockdown has stopped his progress, although when football returns Fernandes is ready to continue.
‘I want to win everything here. I’m hungry to win trophies. I came to Manchester to win alot, to win trophies, league, Champions League, everything,’ Fernandes said in a Q&A with fans on United’s official website.
‘We are aware of the potential Manchester have, because we are a strong and young team, young players, but we’ve got good quality.
‘The fact we are young doesn’t matter and the others have more experience, because we have also experienced players who can help the young ones.
‘The good mix have now and in the future, I can’t tell what will happen next season, of course Manchester is a top club and normally they buy quality players because you are a big club and everyone wants to play for United.’
And if United do sign big-name players, Fernandes is keen to make sure they are desperate to win trophies for the club.
‘We already have a large squad, but whoever comes needs to be determined to win,’ he added.
‘Just focus to win, I want players hungry for trophies and everything. I feel this now in the squad, everyone wants to win.’
Manchester United have endured a rough time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but Fernandes’ arrival has changed alot and the team are unbeaten since January.
MySportDab can confirm that since January, United have won eight of their 11 games and moved up to fifth just behind Chelsea in the Champions League spots.
