Football Legend Ronaldinho has spoken about his time in Paraguay for the first time after his arrest for entering the country with fake passports, MySportDab reports.
The former Barcelona player was arrested along with his brother by the authorities in Paraguay for using fake documents.
The 40-year-old did spend 32 days in prison and also celebrated his birthday while being locked up as investigations continued into the case.
Speaking to TV channel ABC Color, Ronaldinho revealed his suprise of using fake documents.
‘We were surprised after being told that the documents were fake, he said.
‘Ever since we have worked together with the authorities to clarify the facts and the truth.
‘Since we got arrested, we have spoken about everything and provided all the documents they requested of us.
‘It was a very tough blow, I never imagined myself in such a situation. All my life I worked hard to reach the highest professional level and make people happy with my football.’
Ronaldinho was released from prison a few weeks back but still remains under house arrest at the Palmaroga hotel in Asuncion.
