Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard has spoken about his friendship with team-mate Paul Pogba, MySportDab reports.
Lingard and Pogba have a close friendship since the Paul return to United from Juventus in 2016.
The pair joined the Manchester United academy together and won the Youth FA Cup in 2011.
Just months later, Pogba decide to quit Old Trafford and sign for Juventus on a free transfer.
During his time in Italy, Pogba became one of the best midfielders in the world, while Lingard remained at United and also reached the first team.
MySportDab understands they both reunited after United paid £89million to sign Pogba back from Juve.
But according to Lingard, Pogba’s talent was always visible and he already knew from a young age.
Speaking to the UTD Podcast, Lingard praised Pogba.
“I have known him since the Under-18s and you could see how talented he is at such a young age,“ Lingard said.
“Then he was strong, he was big and when he on the ball, although he makes mistakes, you could tell the talent that he had.
“Week after week, in training and in matches, he offered alot to the team, like his confidence.
“Even without playing, he gave everyone confidence and he’s continued with that.
“Obviously he won the World Cup in Russia as well so that makes it perfect.”
However, Pogba is likely to quit Manchester United this summer and reports suggest Paris Saint-Germain are also now interested to sign him.
