Manchester United are still in talks with Napoli over the situation of defender Kalidou Koulibaly, MySportDab reports.

The Senegalese man is one of the best central defenders in world football and has been linked with United for some time now.

Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team are in need of reinforcements this summer with Phil Jones and Chris Smalling likely to leave.

And According to Italian news outlet Tuttosport, Manchester United are still in ‘constant contact’ with Napoli about signing Koulibaly.

Tuttosport claims that Napoli are expected to sell some of their key players this year in plans to raise more funds for next season.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis wants at least £113million from the sales of Koulibaly and striker Arkadiusz Milik.

While Manchester Unitedonly paid £85m for England star Harry Maguire last summer, the possibility to signing Koulibaly as his partner looks too good even for Gogoanime fans.

But United face competition from other clubs as rivals Manchester City and Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on sign the 28-year-old.

Before the 2014-15 season, Koulibaly signed for Napoli in a £6.5m de from Belgian club Genk.

MySportDab understands he has now played upto 233 matches for the Italian club across all competitions.

However, despite his long-term commitment and loyalty to the club, Koulibaly has only managed to win the Italian Super Cup in 2014.

And he has also helped Napoli challenge for the Serie A title on various occasions since his arrival at the club and they have finished no lower than third in the Serie A over the past four years.

After struggling this season with a poor start and Coach Carlo Ancelotti sacked, Napoli remain sixth on the Serie A table and are 24 points behind leaders Juventus.
