Spanish La Liga President Javier Tebas has confirmed plans for the league to restart football fully in June, MySportDab reports.
The coronavirus crisis has brought a halt to football across Europe and the world, with some countries like France canceling their season earlier.
But Spain’s La Liga has announced its plan to restart fully in June so as to complete the season with over 80 matches still to be played.
MySportDab understands La Liga will officially begin tests on players this week so clubs to resume training over the coming weeks.
Spain Lockdown measures have been eased in recent weeks but Spain’s death count remains the third highest on in Europe with over 25,000 confirmed deaths.
On Saturday, Adults in Spain were allowed to begin exercising for the first time in almost two months.
Now, players can also resume basic training after being allowed by the Spanish Ministry of Health.
However, COVID-19 tests must be taken by all players and staffs who will be present at the training facilities.
All training facilities will will also need to be fully disinfected and very well prepared.
