Lyon Striker Moussa Dembele would be open to a move to Manchester United this summer after a new development, MySportDab reports.
Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to add some attacking players to his squad in the next transfer window and Dembele been on United’s radar for some time now.
According to Manchester Evening News, people close to Dembele believe he would be impressed by the idea of signing for Manchester United.
But MySportDab understands United are yet to make contact with the French club.
Dembele looks destined to leave Lyon who finished seventh in Ligue 1 after the season was officially cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis.
That means Lyon won’t play in the Champions League next season while Manchester United still have a chance of qualifying for the competition.
However, Lyon are not yet out of this season’s Champions League after a 1-0 win over Juventus in the first leg and the second leg of their last 16 match is yet to be played.
But whether the Champions League will be completed remains unknown.
Moussa Dembele has impressed again in France with 22 goals and seven assists in 42 matches in all competitions.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s transfer plan is to recruit young players and the 23-year-old Striker would fit into the project perfectly.
Dembele’s contract at Lyon runs until 2023 and Lyon could now demand a higher fee for the player, with Chelsea also interested.
