Newcastle United are interested in a shock bid for Manchester United Loanee Odion Ighalo after the club is completed, MySportDab reports.
The Nigerian is now on loan at Manchester United until the end of the current season.
But Newcastle could try to sign this summer as they look to show a new club force in the English Premier League.
MySportDab understands Ighalo will return to his Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua for the start of the new season in July.
United still want to extend their loan deal so the 30-year-old can stay until the Premier League season is restarted and completed.
However, Shanghai Shenhua are will to let him stay at Old Trafford if their £20million price tag is paid.
According to Sky Sports, Newcastle could attempt to hijack Manchester United’s plans for Ighalo in the summer transfer window once their takeover bid is officially confirmed.
Last month, Ighalo revealed Manchester United were yet to make him an offer to stay at the club.
“No offer on the table for now,” he said.
“Because the season is not yet over and I’m yet to complete my loan deal
“I have a proper guideline for everything I do. I pray to God to always direct me.”
