PSG Star Neymar is ready to accept a 50 per cent wage cut to secure his move to Barcelona this summer, MySportDab reports.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a return to Barcelona though PSG’s asking price is starting to be a problem.
However, According to Spanish Newspaper Mundo Deportivo on Monday, Neymar is ready to force his return to Barcelona and does not mind losing some cash.
At PSG, Neymar earns £600,000-a-week under his current contract but is now willing to reduce his wages to £300,000-a-week at Barcelona.
It comes after reports claimed that Neymar was one of the players who rejected a pay cut at PSG amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In November 2019, Neymar rejected a new contract offer worth £90m from PSG and refused to commit his future at the Parc des Princes.
His existing contact expires in 2022 and the new contract would have made his stay at PSG until 2025 but Neymar appears very determined for his return to Barcelona.
MySportDab understands that PSG could reduce their asking price to £132m this summer now that Neymar has made it very clear he wants to leave.
Barcelona want to bring Neymar back but have plans to sign Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez valued at £98m.
According to reports in Spain, Barcelona have already lost £124m in revenue due to the coronavirus crisis.
Neymar has played very well for PSG this season, scoring 18 goals and 10 assists in 22 matches in all competitions.
PSG have also been awarded the French Ligue 1 title after the season was cancelled amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
