RB Leipzig Striker Timo Werner is open to signing for Chelsea or Manchester United this summer, but only if Liverpool fail, MySportDab reports.
Liverpool are favourites to sign the Germany international but still face competition from Premier League rivals.
All Premier League clubs are unwilling to pay Werner’s £49million release clause, and value the player at £30m.
However, RB Leipzig chief Oliver Mintzlaff has make it clear that any plan to sign the forward ‘won’t get any cheaper’.
Timo Werner has scored 30 goals across all competitions this season and remains contracted at Leipzig until 2023.
Despite difficult financial situations, Jurgen Klopp has spoken with Werner in which he confirmed Liverpool’s desire to secure a deal.
