Liverpool Coach Jurgen Klopp has praised Goalkeeper Alisson after the Brazilian denied Everton the chance to win the Merseyside derby on Sunday, MySportDab reports.
Alisson made a shocking stop from Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the 2nd half as another ball was deflected by Joe Gomez.
Alisson’s influence in Liverpool’s incredible long run under Klopp cannot be denied, when he signed for the Reds in 2018 and provide the quality they needed.
‘It says everything about him,’ Klopp said post match.
‘Absolutely Outstanding. We should never take him for granted.
‘That’s who a world-class goalkeeper is, nothing to do for most part of the game and then suddenly he’s there.’
A defeat to Everton would have been Liverpool’s first in 10 years, but the Reds remain on track to win the title with a victory over Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
However, it depends on if Manchester City lose to Burnley today (Monday).
Alisson has recorded 13 clean sheets in 21 Premier League matches, and only conceded 11 goals.
Liverpool are still 23 points clear of Manchester City and are ready to celebrate their first title in 30 years.
