Manchester United have officially announced an extension to Striker Odion Ighalo’s loan deal until 2021, MySportDab reports.
The Nigerian signed for United from Shanghai Shenhua on transfer deadline day in January.
And now he will stay at Manchester United until at least January 2021, with the Red Devils delighted with his performance.
There were mixed concerns over Ighalo’s future, with his loan deal at Old Trafford expiring on May 31st.
But Manchester United have now successfully secured a new loan deal for the 30-year-old.
The Red Devils announced the new loan extension on Twitter and wrote:
Ighalo’s agent, on Sunday revealed that an agreement was very close between the two clubs.
‘We are close to an agreement with Manchester United on a new loan deal,’ Aneke told Nettavisen.
‘The new loan deal means that Ighalo will remain at Manchester United until January 2021.’
Manchester United will pay some part of Ighalo’s wages and also a fee to Shanghai Shenhua.
His new contract at the Chinese Club will be discussed after his United loan expires in January.
