Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has claimed that David De Gea is the best goalkeeper in the world, MySportDab reports.
Two high mistakes against Everton before the lockdown and against Tottenham last Friday has caused concerns for De Gea’s future at Manchester United.
United’s next match is against Sheffield United where on-loan Goalkeeper Dean Henderson has impressed in the Premier League.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that he sees Henderson as a potential successor for De Gea in the future.
“De Gea is the best goalkeeper in the world. He has let in only two goals in the last seven match he’s played with us, including matches against Man City and also Chelsea,” he said.
“Two goals conceded in seven matches. He’s been here nine years and has developed into a WorldClass keeper, and the best for me.
“I don’t think it is a bad form when you concede just two goals in seven matches against the clubs we have played against.
“He helped us save a point against Tottenham after the goal so he is mentally strong. We speak every day.”
Dean Henderson, who can’t play against his parent club tomorrow, has made it clear that he wants to replace De Gea as United’s No 1.
