First Half Report
The first 45 minutes provided one goal for Manchester City who took control of the whole half.
City well organized as they put pressure on Newcastle United and Sterling almost getting the opener.
Newcastle also had a couple of chances to get themselves ahead but the finish was very poor.
Kevin De Bruyne gave Manchester City the lead after scoring from the penalty spot to make it 1-0 in the 37th minute.
The goal was enough to give Citizens the edge over Newcastle as they go for the first half break.
Second Half Report
The second 45 minutes provided just one goal from Raheem Sterling as Man City advance to the semis.
Carroll almost pulled Newcastle level but his effort on goal went high above the goal post.
A couple of chances were made with City getting most of them but they were unable to score.
the game progressed with Manchester City taking full control of ball possession as they were to good for Newcastle.
The second goal came through Raheem Sterling who was setup by Phil Foden to give their side a 2-0 lead.
