Lille President Gerard Lopez has confirmed that striker Victor Osimhen has “multiple offers” from different clubs, MySportDab reports.
A number of European clubs have previously shown interest in the Nigerian Victor Osimhen.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a stellar season in the French Ligue 1 as he scored a total of 18 goals and six assists in 38 games across all competitions.
However, Lille President Lopez did not name the clubs that made bids for Osimhen.
Osimhen was signed as a replacement for Nicolas Pepe who left for Arsenal last summer.
“We have received multiple offers. We rejected one English and one offer from Spain in the January transfer window,” Lopez told the Daily Mail.
“I don’t want to reveal the names of clubs who have submitted bids but what I can assure you is that there are many offers. There are three League from which clubs that have bid for him.
“I am not trying to sell anything because in the past people refused to believe that we had such offers we had with Pepe and it turns out we had various offers for them.
“Let me tell you something about Osimhen, it is the same situation, whatever you heard, the high fee on the bid in the news is what we have received.”
Arsenal are one of the clubs that have shown interest in Osimhen and will need a striker should Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave in the summer.
Aubameyang has scored 20 goals in 32 games across all competitions but his contract expires next year.
MySportDab understands the Gunners may have to sell him now or risk losing him for free in 2021.
Tottenham have also shown interest and they have few attacking options aside striker Harry Kane, who was injured with a serious issue in January.
