Barcelona players were involved in a shocking dressing room bust-up with Coach Quique Setien after their 2-2 draw with CeltaVigo on Saturday, MySportDab reports.
Barca twice gave up their lead against Celta Vigo which allowed Real Madrid to move top of the La Liga table.
Striker Luis Suarez, who scored twice in the draw, told reporters that the coaches were to blame for Barcelona’s bad away form, which has resulted in just two wins from their last six away matches.
But, According to Spanish Newspaper Marca, it got worse in the dressing room, with some Barcelona staff criticising Setien’s decisions during the match.
The most common area of complaint was Setien’s decision to bring on Antoine Griezmann to replace Suarez with just ten minutes to play.
Also, Setien took off youngster Riqui Puig for Juventus signed Arthur Melo with four minutes to go which still angered some Barcelona players.
Marca claims that Barcelona players have previously clashed with Setien about tactical decisions, leading to a bad situation between Coach and squad.
Barcelona took the lead in the first half against Celta Vigo through Suarez in the 20th minute, but five minutes into the second half the match was 1-1.
Suarez scored again to give Barca the lead with over 15 minutes s left in the match but a shocking late goal from Iago Aspas in the 88 minute secured a 2-2 draw.
After the match, Suarez immediately reacted and showed his anger after they failed to secure a win.
When asked why Barcelona failed to win again, he said: ‘I think that’s why we have coaches there, to analyse the game. We’re trying to do our best on the pitch.
‘We have dropped important points away from home, which never happened in other seasons.’
Barcelona play next against Atletico Madrid at the Nou Camp as they look to go back top of the La Liga table ahead of Real Madrid.
