Borussia Dortmund have denied that Jadon Sancho was benched because of a possible transfer in the summer, MySportDab reports.
Dortmund chief Michael Zorc has revealed that Sancho had no energy which is why he was dropped for Saturday’s match against RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga.
However, Manchester United remain in the race for the 20-year-old England winger, who is worth £100m.
‘We have suffered injuries in recent weeks and have not been able to rotate our squad well like other teams,’ Zorc told Sport1.
‘Sancho was completely tired and told the coach before the match that he had no energy to feature for the whole 90 minutes.
‘You saw that in the match.’
‘Yes we remain concerned. But It’s not something we are ready to talk about,’ Zorc added.
