Chelsea are very keen to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak in the summer transfer window, MySportDab reports.
The Blues are not happy with Kepa Arrizabalaga and believe Oblak is the perfect replacement to challenge for the Premier League title.
Kepa has made different errors this season which have cost Lampard’s team.
According to Spanish Newspaper AS, Oblak is now a top transfer target for Lampard with owner Roman Abramovich ready to pay for the Slovenia international.
However, Atletico Madrid Coach Diego Simeone is not surprised by Chelsea’s interest in the impressive goalkeeper.
He said: “I am not surprised that Chelsea want Jan Oblak, he is a very key player for us.
“But he’s our captain and he helps us in the Champions League every year to keep our best players so I hope he stays with us.”
Oblak has performed well again this season with 21 clean sheets across all competitions.
Chelsea are aware that a world class goalkeeper could prove key when challenging for Trophies next season.
Chelsea are still in the race for a top four finish and improved their chances with a 1-0 win against Norwich.
The Blues play next against Manchester United is an FA Cup semi-final match on Sunday.
