The Red Devils are preparing another offer to tempt Dortmund into reducing their £109m fee.
The Bundesliga club meanwhile have no interest in lowering the price despite the coronavirus pandemic impact of football clubs.
Sancho is expected to return for training on Thursday as Dortmund prepare for the next Bundesliga season.
Dortmund hope to challenge Bayern Munich once again for the Bundesliga crown.
Sancho leaving Dortmund would be a huge blow to their plans after he contributed a stunning 20 goals and 20 assists in 44 matches last season.
Dortmund have already sent out their expert scouts to work on a replacement.
