Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier has been given a four-game ban by the English FA after he jumped into the crowd to confront a fan in March, MySportDab reports.
Some Tottenham fans expressed their frustrations in the wrong way after Spurs were knocked out of the FA Cup by Norwich.
Dier was very frustrated after the match and he let his angry know by rushing into the crowd to confront a Spurs fan.
The 26-year-old jumped over the pitch fencing as he shouted angrily towards a fan.
He had to be restrained by two other fans in the section of the stadium.
However, the English FA have finally ended their investigation.
Dier has now been given a four match ban and a £40,000 fin for his conduct.
A statement read: “Eric Dier has been suspended for four matches, fined £40,000 and warned after a breach of FA Rule E3.
“The Tottenham player admitted that his actions at the end of a match against Norwich in The FA Cup were improper but denied they were threatening.
“An independent Regulatory Commission decided that Eric Dier’s actions were threatening.”
The Four-match ban means Dier can only play in Tottenham’s final game of the season against Crystal Palace on July 26.
Dier will also miss Sunday’s London derby against Arsenal.
