Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal recorded a crucial 2-1 victory over League Champions Liverpool with goals from Lacazette and Nelson as Sadio Mane Hit target, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first 45 minutes provided all the goals from the match which saw two for Arsenal and one for Liverpool.
It took Sadio Mane 20 minutes to open the scoring as he scored an exceptional goal with Robertson doing the assist.
Lacazette pulled level in the 32nd minute to tie the scoreline 1-1 with a phenomenal finish.
Ress Nelson struck in the 44 minutes to put Arsenal on the lead thanks to an assist from Alexander Lacazette.
The first half ended Arsenal 2-1 Liverpool as Mikel Arteta’s side went for the break with an advantage.
Second Half Report
The second 45 minutes was more of a boring encounter as both sides played out a goalless half.
Many chances were created by both Arsenal and Liverpool but they failed to convert.
Mohamed Salah should have made it count but his effort was saved by Martinez.
It was more of tension for the home side as they defend hard for their lives as the league champions attack more.
Despite all the efforts by the away side to score it was all in vain as the home team gave a good account of themselves.
