Barcelona endured a nerve match to see out a 1-0 victory over Espanyol in a match which saw Luis Suarez scored and Ansu Fati sent off, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
A very poor first half display saw Barcelona and Espanyol played out a goalless draw.
Many chances were created by both side but none of them were able to capitalize and make it count.
Lionel Messi should have given his side the lead but his effort was wasteful as Espanyol cleared it away.
The first half ended in a 0-0 draw but Barcelona was much better than their opponent.
Second Half Report
A controversial second 45 minutes saw two players sent off as Barcelona got the much needed goal.
The game was going as planned before Ansu Fati was sent off in the 50th minute of the game.
Later Espanyol’s Lozano was also sent off as both teams completed the match with 10-man each.
Luis Suarez finally got the goal in the 56th minute of the game which saw Barcelona took the 1-0 lead.
The game progressed with no goal recorded until the end of regular and extra time which saw the referee ended play.
