Man United target Saul Niguez hit brace as Messi scored in a game which was Barcelona played out a 2-2 draw against Atletico Madrid, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Both teams got a goal each as they played out a 1-1 end to end action draw which saw an own goal and penalty.
Barcelona got the first goal after forcing Diego Costa to commit an own goal which gave Barca the 1-0 lead over Atletico Madrid.
Atletico Madrid made sure life was tough for their opponent as they attack in folds but their efforts weren’t going in.
In the 15th minute, Arturo Vidal conceded a penalty for tripping Yannick Carrasco which saw a penalty being awarded.
Diego Costa stepped up and took it but he wasn’t successful but thanks to VAR the penalty was retaken.
Saul Niguez retook the penalty and scored as Pique alongside Ter Stegen was booked to the buildup of the penalty.
The first 45 minutes ended in a 1-1 brutality which saw Barcelona dominated possession.
Second Half Report
Another feisty second 45 saw both teams match each other strength to strength as they both scored 1-1.
Felipe conceded a penalty for tripping Nelson Semedo in the 48th minute of the second half.
Lionel Messi took responsibility and made it count as Barcelona went ahead with a 2-1 lead.
Atletico Madrid came close pulling level but the shot was off target by Diego Costa.
Yannick Carrasco once again was fouled in the box 18 by Nelson Semedo who tripped the Belgian.
Saul Niguez stepped up and pull Atletico Madrid level in the game 2-2 making it his brace for the game.
