A brace from Mohamed Salah and one from Henderson ensured Champions Liverpool cruised home with a 3-1 victory over Brighton, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Liverpool controlled most of the first 45 minutes as three goals were recorded with both teams on target.
It took 6 minutes for Mohamed Salah to get the first goal of the game thanks to assistance from Naby Keita.
Jordan Henderson made it 2-0 with just after two minutes to the first goal with an assist from Salah.
It looked as if the game is already wrapped by the away side but Brighton continued chasing the game.
The home side almost got one goal back but the effort was wasted as Liverpool defended well.
Soon Brighton pull one back from Trossard after a nice pass from Tariq Lamptey which saw the scoreline turned 1-2.
The first half of the encounter ended with Jurgen Klopp’s side the better of both teams.
Second Half Report
The second half proved to be more intense as both teams gave a good account of themselves on the pitch of play.
Liverpool and Brighton & Hove Albion created many goal scoring chances but the finishing wasn’t good enough.
Mohamed Salah added a third goal for Liverpool in the 76th thanks to assistance from Andrew Robertson.
Brighton had a couple of chances to get another goal but there weren’t clinical in front of the goal to make it count.
