FT: Real Madrid 2-1 Villarreal, Benzema Hit BRACE As Madrid Win League Title (Match Highlight)

Real Madrid ease past Villarreal 2-1 with Benzema brace as they were crowned League champions thanks to Barcelona who played out a 1-2 lose with Osasuna, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first 45 minutes provided just one goal which went in favour of Real Madrid in the encounter.

It was a fair first half hostility between both sides with Villarreal giving a good account of themselves.

Many opportunities went begging as none were unable to hit the target and make it count for their team.

Soon Karim Benzema struck in the 29th minute of the game thanks to an assist from Luka Modric to make it 1-0.

The away side Villarreal tried to pull level but Samuel Chukwueze strike was blocked from going in.

No more goal was scored as the first half ended Real Madrid 1-0 Villarreal as Zidane’s side go for the break with an advantage.

Second Half Report

Madrid came out once again guns blazing as Eden Hazard threatened their opponent a lot in the match.

Once again chances were created but nobody was able to finish off as more went to the home side.

Sergio Ramos was tripped in the Villarreal penalty box which saw Real Madrid award a penalty in the 75th minute.

He stepped up and miss but thanks to VAR it was retaken by Karim Benzema who scored and made it 2-0.

Villarreal pulled one goal back in the 84th minute from Vicente Iborra’s header to make it 2-1.

The match ended 2-1 as Real Madrid wins the 2019/2020 laliga title thanks to Barcelona lost to Osasuna.
