Sergi Guardiola almost made count for Real Valladolid but his effort could not hit the target.
It ended first 45 minutes 1-0 in favour of Barcelona over Valladolid who gave a good account of themselves.
Second Half Report
The second 45 minutes resumed with Valladolid reorganizing their defense which made it hard for their opponent to break down.
Kike Perez came close on two occasions but his efforts were no good to make it count for his side.
Barcelona front three of Messi, Suarez and Griemann threatened the Real Valladolid defenders throughout the game.
Despite all every efforts made by the laliga Champions to get another goal none was able to go in.
