Sheffield United destroyed Chelsea with a 3-0 scoreline which saw McGoldrick scoring twice alongside Oliver McBurnie lone goal, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first 45 minutes saw Sheffield United scored twice despite Chelsea dominating the match.
David McGoldrick reacts first to a loose ball in the 18th minute and puts it away to give his side a 1-0.
It was more or less a shocking half for Frank Lampard’s side who had 78% ball possession but going down.
Oliver McBurnie gave Sheffield United a 2-0 in the 33rd minute after he scored with a header with an assist from Enda Stevens.
Chelsea did everything possible to get themselves back in the game as they created more opportunities but failed to score.
It ended first half 2-0 with the Blades heading for the break with a comfortable advantage in the match.
Second Half Report
The second 45 minutes was another disaster for Chelsea as Sheffield United scored one.
Once again the Blues dominated proceedings but were unable to make anything happen.
Tammy Abraham came close pulling one back for his side but his header went wide off goal.
David McGoldrick made it 3-0 in the 77th minute after breaking down Chelsea to give Sheffield United a comfortable lead.
It was more like a game over for Frank Lampard’s side who were disastrous on the pitch of play.
