Barcelona have now appointed Ronald Koeman as their new manager on a two-year contract, MySportDab reports.
The 57-year-old quit his job as Coach Of the Netherlands national team.
Koeman arrived at the Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport on Tuesday and signed a contract with Barcelona.
Barcelona sacked Quique Setien on Monday after Friday’s shocking 8-2 defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter finals.
Koeman will be unveiled today during his first press conference at 5pm (UK time) on after signing a contract deal until July 2022.
Barcelona are yet to confirm the members of Koeman’s backroom staffs, but former Barcelona Player Henrik Larssson is expected to be chosen.
On Monday, Barcelona sacked Eric Abidal as they look to make changes at the club.
He has now been replaced by his former assistant, Ramon Planes.
MySportDab understands that Bartomeu preferred to appoint former Tottenham Coach Mauricio Pochettino over Koeman, but a final decision has already been made.
A deal was agreed over the weekend and now Koeman has been confirmed as Barcelona’s new manager.
